Mid Coast

There’s a few tiny lines of swell getting into the gulf this morning, but of course, it’s come with a switch to onshore winds. Surf is bumpy on the Mid Coast and around 1′, with West winds at 10 knots. High tide is at 7am, and it’s already looking very full with a minor surge behind it. The wind will pick up from the SW this morning and is expected to be 20 knots from the SSW by midday. The beach breaks will probably have a few messy 1-082′ waves through low tide at lunch. The swell should lift a bit as the tide pushes back in after lunch, but conditions will remain messy with fresh SOuth winds until late arvo at least. There is a chance of a late shift to a sou-easter, but that probably won’t be until 6 – 7pm. Worth keeping an eye on it though, just in case. Outlook for the rest of the week is in the latest surf forecast. Shred factor 2/10
