South Coast

Winds are from the West at 10 – 15 knots and conditions are reasonably clean on the South Coast early. The swell is up on the wave buoy but it hasn’t really arrived yet. with 2 – 3′ surf at Middleton and occasional few bigger sets between Day St. and Goolwa. There are clean 2′ waves at Chiton / Gap and a few bigger sets pushing in up toward Knight’s / Boomer. Waits and Parson’s will be bigger, and the west in the breeze will favour Waits Point. Things look sketchy for the rest of the day, and winds will soon shift more onshore from the SOuth and pick up. The BoM predicts 20 knots and tending SSW by late morning, so expect the entire coast to be trashed by then. The wind will probably go SSE late arvo/evening, and the swell will build all day and will be solid after lunch. Check out the rest of the week in the latest surf forecast. Shred factor 6/10.
