South Coast

Light onshore SSW winds have taken the gloss off on the South Coast this morning, but the swell is still fairly well lined up and a decent size. Surf is in the 4 – 6′ range between Middleton and Goolwa, and The Bay / Point are not too bad early but there are bumps. It’s semi-clean between Victor and Port Elliot, and there are 4′ waves at Chiton / Gap but a few bigger bombs now and then. The swell should lift this morning and there should be some solid waves pushing in around lunchtime. The wind is not expected to get much stronger than 10 knots, and may even drop out mid arvo for a glass off. Definitely worth keeping that late option in mind. Outlook heading into the weekend is in the latest surf forecast. Shred factor 5/10.
