South Coast

Cross-shore West winds at 12 knots are adding bumps along the South Coast this morning, and a fairly westerly swell is capping the size. Middleton has 2′ waves with a few 3′ sets, and there are a few bigger waves breaking now and then between Day St. and Goolwa. Chiton / Gap are around 2′, Waits Point will be bigger and sheltered from the wind. As the day unfolds, the swell will lift but the wind will turn more onshore from the SW. It’ll be gusting over 20 knots after lunch, so part sheltered spots will be the go. Try good ol’ Dribs bay or possibly the Dump mid arvo. Outlook for the rest of the week is in the latest forecast.
