South Coast

The swell is still up on the South Coast, but the dreaded onshores are making a mess of it. Southerly winds are around 17 knots and wave heights are still 5 – 6′ between Middleton and Goolwa. It’s breaking all over the place and the paddle looks nightmarish – even the Bay looks pretty cold and dismal. Boomer / Knights are also 3 – 5′ but pretty messy, Chiton / Gap are overhead and nasty, with 2′ slops at The Dump rounding out the Victor end. The swell will probably stay similar size all day, and the wind will also stay as bad. Not a whole lot of options, really. Outlook for tomorrow is in the latest surf forecast.
