Conditions are clean on the South Coast early with NW winds at 10 -15 knots. The swell is well lined up and a decent size, with 3 – 5′ surf between Middleton and Goolwa. There are 2 – 4′ waves between The Dump and Knight’s, with occasional bigger sets thumping in up the Boomer end of the beach. The wind may stay OK for a few hours but it’s on the turn – shifting W-SW then onshore after lunch at 20 knots. The swell should hold up all day, but quality will deteriorate as the wind swings cross-shore then onshore later. Check the surf forecast for the outlook heading into the weekend.
