South Coast

The wind is trying to swing offshore on the South Coast early, tending North at 5 knots – but a couple of days of Easterly winds haven’t been kind. The swell is very South in direction but it’s backed off overnight, with surf around 3 – 4′ between Middleton and Goolwa. It’s pretty shifty but definitely lining up better than yesterday. There are 2 – 3′ waves around at Chiton and the Gap, but Waits and Parson’s will be pretty solid bu Parson’s point will favour the East in the wind. The BoM predicts East winds possibly to 15 knots later, the arvo will probably be bumpy along exposed stretches. The swell will eas during the day. Check the latest surf forecast to see how Friday is looking.
