Mid Coast

The wind is from the SE at 12 knots and conditions are clean on the Mid Coast, but once again swell is marginal. Surf is only half a foot with occasional one footers hitting some of the reefs. High tide is at 0620, then the water will drain out of the gulf until lunchtime. Trigs and South Port will probably have small longboard peelers through low tide at lunch, but keep an eye on other spots as the tide starts to push back in. Some new swell should lift wave heights after lunch, SE winds may get up around 20 knots at times, possibly blowing it out. The breeze should lighten off later in the day, but the big tide will knock some energy out of the swell after 4pm. High tide reefs might offer some waist-high runners mid – late arvo. New surf forecast tonight.
