South Coast

The South Coast is getting absolutely pounded this morning, with a large SSW swell and SW winds gusting to 30 knots. The stretch between Middleton and Goolwa is just giant mush, for illustration let’s call it 6′ but it’s probably bigger waaaaaaaaaaaay out the back. The swell is also heavy and messy between Victor and Port Elliot, it’s 8′ between knights and Chiton, and there are some sets bigger than that third-reefing it up toward Boomer. Definitely check all those sheltered spots you’ve read all about on the interwebs, in forums, on facebook groups, instagram, twitter, ticktock, and so forth. It’s gonna be big and squally all day, and the crazy part is the swell has not yet peaked. If you do nothing else, go and have a look… it’s impressive. New surf forecast is up, covering just the next few days.
