South Coast

30 knot West winds and rain squalls are lashing the South Coast this morning, and it’s looking pretty nasty on the water. Surf is around 3 – 4′ between Middleton and Goolwa, the Bay at Middleton is partly sheltered with occasional peelers in between gaps. Conditions are pretty messy around the Port Elliot side with 2 – 3′ of chop between Chiton Rocks and Knight’s. Waits and Parson’s will be bit and badly wind effected, and given it’s 4°C at Parawa you’d probably best not even leave the house. The wind should start to wind back later this morning and into the afternoon, shifting more onshore SW-S at 20 – 25 knots. Conditions will remain messy all day today, but the wind and seas should ease heading into the weekend. More on that in tonight’s surf forecast.
