The forecast predicts light / variable winds for the next few hours, but onshores look like kicking in again after lunch and adding chop. Surf is sloppy along the Middleton – Goolwa stretch at around 4 – 5′, with messy 3′ surf around at Chiton / Gap. It’ll stay onshore all day today, although swell may build a bit after lunch. The forecast predicts winds will tend more onshore after lunch, SW at around 25 knots then SW-S toward evening. Swell will build a bit, but overall conditions will deteriorate later. The forecast predicts offshores all day, tending NW after lunch possibly up around 15 – 10 knots by mid arvo. A westerly change is expected to arrive this evening, but it might not be until dark. The next few hours is probably the bext of it, and conditions will deteriorate as winds go back around to the SE-S at 15 – 20 knots after lunch.
