Mid Coast

Conditions are clean on the Mid Coast early with light ENE winds, and a minor lift in the swell overnight. The minor lift is more a direction change and the presence of at least some whitewater. Surf unfortunately remain tiny for the moment, and waves are still only shin-high when the rare sets arrive. The tide is just starting to head out, and it looks like a NE wind is farther up the gulf and moving SOuth. Neither will do any good over the next few hours. The wind is predicted to get to 15 – 20 knots, so it’ll be a bit bumpy and mostly flat everywhere once it arrives ( probably sooner rather than later ). A W-SW change will swing the wind onshore later today, possibly in the evening. The change will also come with some new swell, but surf probably will only be a foot and chopped up by the wind. Shred factor 1/10.
