South Coast

For the first time in a few days conditions are glassy and fairly clean on the South Coast, with very light NE winds and straighter swell. There is still a bit of leftover wobble and it’s pretty small, with surf only around 1′ at Middleton with rare bigger sets down toward Cliffs and Goolwa. Waits and Parson’s are your best ( only ) bet for a shortboard wave this morning, both picking up occasional 2′ sets with a bit of a wait. NE winds should start to pick up soon, and may gust 15 – 20 knots for a few hours through the middle part of the day. A W-SW change will roll through after lunch, cooling things down and turning winds cross-onshore. Wave heights will remain small, and conditions will become bumpy. Right now’s probably as good as it gets today. Shred factor 6/10.
