Mid Coast

A light onshore WSW wind around 7 knots has left the Mid Coast bumpy this morning, and the sell continues to struggle. There are small lines underneath the bumps and occasional 1′ sets, but it’s pretty full just past high tide. As usual, the outgoing tide won’t do it any favours, and low tide at lunch will probably only offer a grovel at South Port. It’s a very low tide today, and it will expose a lot of reef along the coast. The breeze should be more Southerly after lunch and probably not much over 10 knots, and the incoming tide should see a few lines of small, new swell. It will full up quickly after 2pm, but winds may be SE by this evening and it should clean up a fair bit. There’s a chance of a little wave before sunset, so keep an eye on it. Shred factor 1/10.
