Mid Coast

The wind has dropped out on the Mid Coast overnight, and early it’s very light from the South – even has a little bit of East in it. Surface conditions are glassy with some leftover stormy wobble, but there are 2′ waves hitting the reefs. High tide is at 0830 and it’s already looking pretty full, with the shallower reefs looking the best options. The wind will begin to pick up again as the tide starts to head out, tending NW at 15 knots by mid-morning and then going more onshore Westerly for the arvo. The breeze may be over 20 knots from the WSW by late arvo, so the Mid Coast will be back to semi-stormy conditions. Right now is as clean as it’s likely to get for the rest of the week. More on that in the latest surf forecast. Shred factor 5/10.
