The Mid Coast continues in stormy mode this morning, with WW winds still gusting over 25 knots. Gulf waters and chopped up and surf is ranging 2 – 4′ depending on how you measure and where you look. Sheltered spots will be the pick of it this morning – Dumpers, maybe a small wave at The Cove, or join the hordes at Adelaide’s worst kept secret spot. The wind will ease a bit after lunch and tend more SW-S at 20 – 25 knots. Seas will also settle down, and that may open up Seaford or possibly even the southern end of South Port late arvo as options. Outlook heading into the weekend is in the latest surf forecast. Some sad news today with the passing of Marc Bourgeois. Marc spent many years surfing around Elliston, but in later years took up semi-residence at The Trough on the Mid Coast. He was one of the most dedicated kneeboarders in SA, and was well known and liked throughout the surfing community. RIP Marc. Shred factor 3/10.
