Mid Coast

The swell has dropped overnight but conditions are clean again this morning on the Mid Coast, with winds blowing offshore from the East at 10 knots. There are occasional 1′ waves hitting the reefs but the sets are not very regular, and the tide is heading out. Low it at 1130, and a lot of reef will be exposed along the coast after10am. The beach breaks will pick up a few more waves, but NE winds will probably be up around 15 – 20 knots by stage and blowing it out a bit. A gusty W-SW change is predicted to arrive early – mid arvo, and turn winds onshore. Behind the change conditions will be choppy, but surf may lift to 1 – 2′ by late arvo. The breeze will be SSW at 20 knots by evening, so the Southen end of South Port may offer part shelter.
