Mid Coast

Conditions are glassy on the Mid Coast and kinda muggy, with very light WNW winds early. There’s not much swell at all, and for the first time in days it’s pretty much dead flat, with only occasional ankle slapper sets hitting selected reefs. The tide is starting to move out, with low tide at midday. The change is taking its time but the BoM still expects winds to get gusty from the W-SW by late morning,m possibly 20 – 30 knots by early arvo. The wind will ship up some chop, but probably not a proper stormy. Surf might get to 1 – 2′ after lunch on the incoming tide, but quality will be messy. The breeze will shift more SW and should ease back to 15 knots again by evening. Outlook heading into the weekend is in the latest surf forecast. Shred factor 2/10
