Mid Coast

North winds are around 10 knots on the Mid Coast early this morning, blowing straight down the gulf and adding light bumps to the surface. There’s no swell and no waves, but that’s a temporary situation. A W-SW change is headed our way from the West, and ahead of it the wind will pick up from the NW to 20 knots or so. That will add some chop before the wind swings fresh onshore Westerly as the front moves through mid-morning. Off the back of the change the breeze will be in the 25 knot range from the WSW, so the Mid will probably get some sort of stormy. It probably won’t be much more than 1 – 2′ today, tomorrow looks like the real deal. More on that in the latest surf forecast. Shred factor 1/10
