Mid Coast

It’s a blustery morning on the Mid Coast, and NW winds are chopping up Gulf waters with gusts over 25 knots. There is around 1′ of underlying swell, but what you see is mostly 2′ lumps whipped up the wind. Low tide is at midday, and high tide is at 6pm which will help as the swell builds. The wind will swing Westerly and gust to 30 knots for a couple of hours, but it looks like it will blow itself out by late arvo. It still should whip up a stormy after lunch, so sheltered spots will be worth a look. It’s probably not gonna be a biggie, so metro spots will most likely miss out today. Winds will be back to 30 knots this evening. Outlook for the rest of the week is in the latest surf forecast. Shred factor 3/10
