South Coast

The swell is well lined up and conditions are clean on the South Coast early with 17 knot NW winds – but it’s small. Surf is only 1′ at Middleton, and not much bigger down through Day St. and toward Goolwa. Waitpinga will offer occasional bigger sets, but it’s still only going to be in the 1 – 2′ range. In any case, the whole coast will become blown out soon by 30 knots NW winds. The breeze will swing westerly at similar strength, and blow hard for a few hours before easing late arvo. The swell will be too westerly for most of the day, and the wind will hammer it anyway. Outlook for the rest of the week is in the latest surf forecast. Shred factor 4/10
