Mid Coast

Northerlies are gusting around 25 knots on the Mid Coast this morning, and the wind is chopping up the sea in the gulf. Surf is around 1′ with occasional bigger sets, but the tide is still a bit full and the wind is flattening it. Not a whole lot will change as the tide heads out, but the lower tide will favour Trigs and the beach breaks late morning. The wind should also start to back off after 11am, and it may become light at some stage after lunch. The incoming tide should bring a minor lift in wave heights, but it will fill up fast and become full with the big tide after 4pm. A Southerly change is expected to arrive late arvo / evening. Check the updated surf forecast to see how the rest of the long weekend is looking.
