Conditions are clean on the South Coast early with 10 knot NW winds, but the swell has faded and has too much west in it. Surf is around 1′ at Middleton, with rare bigger sets along the Day St. – Cliffs stretch. Waits and Parson’s are probably your best bet for a shortboard wave today, wind will favour Waits over Parson’s. The breeze will tend more Westerly at 20 knots plus, then shift SW for the rest of the day. The cross-onshores will add bumps, ane there won’t be enough swell for sheltered spots to work. Middleton Bay might serve up a grovel late arvo if the swell lifts. Shred factor 6/10.
