South Coast

Conditions are clean and glassy on the South Coast early with light WNW winds, but again too much west in the swell direction. Surf is still only around 1′ at Middleton, with rare bigger sets along the Day St. – Cliffs stretch. Waits and Parson’s are probably your best bet for a shortboard wave today, and again wind will favour Waits over Parson’s. The Bureau of Met predicts the breeze will tend more onshore SW from mid-morning onward, and may get up around 20 knots after lunch. The swell won’t be big enough for anywhere sheltered, and exposed spots will be wind affected. An early session at Waits is probably your best shot today. Shred factor 6/10.
