South Coast

The wind has eased and shifted cross-offshore on the South Coast this morning, with glassy conditions and a bit of leftover wobble in the swell. Surf is around 3′ at Middleton and there are a few breaking in the Bay, with 4′ sets and the odd bigger one down toward Cliffs and Goolwa. Chiton / Gap are glassy with 2- 3′ sets, but it’s a bit marginal up at the Dump end of the beach. The next couple of hours will most likely be the best of it, and winds will shift moe onshore SW late morning and dead onshore at 10 – 15 knots after lunch. Surface conditions will get pretty messy with the Southerlies from early arvo onward. Swell should stick around, so you might manage a grovel inside Middleton Bay late arvo with easing onshore winds. Shred factor 6/10.
