South Coast

Conditions look good on the South Coast this morning, the wind is offshore from the North and the swell is well lined up – if not particularly big. Surf is around 2′ at Middleton, with occasional bigger sets between longer gaps down toward Cliffs and Goolwa. Waits and Parson’s will be bigger for more experienced surfers, and the wind will probably favour Waits. The breeze will begin to pick up soon, and by morning smoko we could be looking at 20 knots or more. If the wind gets that strong it will blow the waves flat along open stretches, and make getting onto them harder. A SW change is due tonight, so the breeze may go cross-shore or possibly drop out sometime before sunset. It’s OK early, maybe for an hour or two. Shred factor 7/10.
