South Coast

Conditions are clean on the South Coast with offshore NW winds around 10 knots early. Again, the swell is a little too westerly in direction with surf around 1′ at Middleton. There are occasional bigger sets along the Day St. – Goolwa stretch. Waits and Parson’s should be a foot or so bigger on the sets for more experienced surfers, wind direction will favour Waits over Parson’s. The breeze is expected to pick up and tend more Westerly, possibly to 20 knots by lunchtime. Waits Point will offer some protection, Middleton Point shouldn’t be too badly wind effected. The swell looks like staying about the same all day, so slightly blown out along exposed stretches and 2′ waves. The old surf forecast is looking tired, new one is due this evening.
