Excellent conditions on the South Coast this morning with another perfectly lined up swell brushed by light offshore North winds. Surf at Middleton is in the sweet spot with waves around 3′, and a few bigger sets breaking along the Day St. / Surfers / Cliffs stretch. There are also gaps so the paddle out is nice and easy. There are glassy 2′ waves around at Chiton, Waits and Parson’s will also both be clean and pumping for more experienced surfers. Right about now is as good as it’ll get – North winds will start to pick up soon, and may gust over 20 knots between 10 and 3pm. There is another window possibly late arvo when the wind should ease back to 10 -15 knot from the NW. Swell should stick around all day. New surf forecast tonight, I’ll try and get it up a bit earlier ahead of the long weekend.
