South Coast

We had a good run early in October, but the South Coast is finally getting a proper dose of typical spring weather. The swell has lifted but quality is dreadful, with surf around 4′ at Middleton, and slightly bigger slops along the Day St. / Cliffs / Goolwa stretch. There are a few 3′ lumps pushing in at Knights, and lumpy 2 – 3′ surf at Chiton Rocks. Forget Waits and Parson’s. The wind will just stay onshore all day, and it’s not gonna clean up anytime soon. Try Dribs bay if you are desperate. Check the latest surf forecast to see if there’s any hope in the next few days.
