South Coast

After one of the best days in ages the South Coast is back to reality this morning, hammered by onshores and chop. Surf is around 3 – 4′ between Middleton and Goolwa, but it’s pure much and breaking all over the place. There are junky 2′ waves around at Chiton, but it’s not big enough for The Dump. It’s just not gonna get better today with S-SE winds remaining in the 20 knot range probably until mid arvo when they’ll ease to around 15 knots. Swell should be a bit bigger after lunch, but with that wind direction there’s not really anywhere to hide. Try Dribs bay if you’re absolutely desperate, otherwise it’s most likely a lay-day.
